SPRYE’s Executive Director Marie Johnson was selected as a 2024 Healthcare Hero by a panel of expert judges and the editors of Westchester Magazine.
According to the magazine’s managing editor Amy Sowder, Ms. Johnson was selected from 100 applications.
“It is a commendable achievement to be sure, and as a 2024 winner Ms. Johnson forms part of a diverse yet elite group of people who are serving this community in the most vital, honorable way possible,” reported Ms. Sowder.
The SPRYE Board of Directors supported the nomination and Chair of the Executive Committee Lauren Miscimarra wrote the recommendation for the award.

The staff at the magazine will celebrate all the valuable work at the Healthcare Heroes awards ceremony on May 9, at Mulino’s at Lake Isle in Eastchester.
