SPRYE Board member Isobel Perry received the James A. and Marian M. Shea Community Service Award Friday, November 2 at the Apawamis Club in Rye. The Rye City Lions club honors a member of the Rye Community who has donated time and effort to improving the quality of life for Rye’s citizens. The Rye City Lions Club is a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit organization. The Lions are known for collecting, cleaning and distributing prescription eye glasses to low-income people. SPRYE, also a 501 (c) 3 organization serves older adults in Port Chester, Harrison, Rye Brook and Rye assisting them with services so they can remain independent in their homes and engaged in the community they love.
